Buying Your Wine

The WineDriver is looking for something different, something which gives pleasure because it was a personal choice, and something which will show care and consideration when served to guests. This is why wines on the WineDrive Premier Page lists are from small to medium size producers who do not export in volume. They may be sold by specialist importers or appear on the wine lists of better restaurants, but you can be sure they will not be found on the supermarket shelf.

Visiting the producer, meeting the people who created the wine, tasting, comparing and learning about the complexities and nuances of different types and vintages is all part of the experience and can lead to endless dinner party conversations. Most producers will be only too pleased to talk about how their vines, their land, the geology of the region and its climate all impact the finished product.
