Capital of the region of Touraine and a lively and interesting old University city. Medieval streets and rows of half-timbered houses. Visit Place-Foire-le-Roi, a typical French medieval alley, dark and narrow. A historical gem today but not a safe place to be after dark in the Middle Ages!
