The chateau was focus of national events for some 200 years after the court of King Louis XII moved to Blois. Home of Catherine de Médicis, an infamous and notorious poisoner. Much history and well worth a visit. The Place du Chateau is where Joan of Arc had her troops take communion before going to Orléans and her famous victory.
