Golf for Wine Lovers
France offers great opportunities for the keen golfer and wine lover to indulge both pursuits. Many fine clubs are located in the wine regions often within easy reach of vineyards, so a round or two followed by a wine tasting is most definitely on the cards. Golf has increased in popularity across France in recent years, with growing demand at the more popular clubs. If you telephone a few days ahead, most will be pleased to offer day membership. Just turning up will probably result in disappointment or a very long wait.
The list shown below includes clubs in the wine regions. It is provided as a guide rather than a definitive list. All are 18 holes unless otherwise stated. Most of the bigger clubs have English speaking staff.
